Two outdoor units side by side while maintaining acoustic comfort
Two outdoor units installed close to a terrace, large window or living area can quickly become noticeable when operating at the same time. With two XXL units positioned side by side, the issue is therefore not purely aesthetic: it is also about making their presence less intrusive in everyday life.
The DECOClim XXL lateral double air conditioner cover allows the two units to be covered separately while also helping to limit the perceived spread of noise around the installation.
Two separate XXL covers for a lateral configuration
The lateral double model consists of two complete XXL covers positioned side by side, each designed for its own outdoor unit. Each unit therefore retains its own space and its own cover.
This configuration differs from the stacked double model without an intermediate separation: it does not create a shared internal volume. It is specifically designed for two outdoor units positioned side by side, creating a coordinated appearance across the full width of the installation.
The technical equipment therefore looks more visually consistent without changing its original layout.
Louvered slats that help reduce perceived noise
DECOClim louvered slats do more than contribute to the appearance of the cover. Their orientation also helps redirect part of the sound towards the ground, which can reduce perceived sound propagation around the units.
Depending on the installation configuration, its surroundings and how intensively the equipment is operating, DECOClim observes an average noise reduction of 10 to 30%.
This is a particularly valuable benefit when two outdoor units are grouped close to an area where people regularly spend time.
Light Ivory (RAL 1015) for stone, sand and beige façades
With two XXL covers positioned side by side, the visible covering surface becomes significant. The choice of colour therefore plays an important role in integrating the overall installation.
Warmer than pure white, Light Ivory (RAL 1015) naturally complements beige, cream or sand-coloured façades, light stone and certain Mediterranean-style surroundings. It helps avoid excessive contrast and visually soften the presence of the two outdoor units.
If the installation is also visible from the rear, a Light Ivory XXL aluminium back panel can be added to each cover. Two back panels are therefore required for this double configuration.
Maintaining airflow while protecting the equipment
Reducing the visual or acoustic impact of the units should never mean enclosing them. Front panels with louvered slats promote air circulation, while a rear offset of at least 7 cm helps maintain the space required around each outdoor unit.
Made from 100% powder-coated aluminium, the covers also provide additional protection against weather and everyday impacts. This attention to design and durability is reflected in a 10-year warranty on our aluminium models.
