Protecting two outdoor units in a busy family garden
A terrace where you enjoy meals, children playing ball, a bicycle leaning against the wall… The outdoor area of a home is a real living space, and two large air conditioning or heat pump outdoor units installed side by side can quickly be exposed to the small accidents of everyday life.
The DECOClim XXL side-by-side double air conditioner cover provides an additional layer of protection around these units while concealing their technical appearance. It is a practical way to integrate two large outdoor units more discreetly into the garden without enclosing them or restricting the environment they need to operate correctly.
Two XXL covers side by side for two outdoor units
This side-by-side configuration consists of two separate XXL covers positioned next to each other. Each outdoor unit therefore retains its own cover and its own space: unlike the stacked double model, there is no shared internal volume.
This arrangement is specifically designed for installations with two outdoor units positioned side by side. Visually, the two technical units are concealed behind two identical, aligned and coordinated covers, giving the overall installation a more consistent appearance.
Protecting the outdoor units without compromising ventilation
An effective cover should protect without enclosing the equipment. DECOClim front panels feature louvered slats designed to preserve proper air circulation around the units. A rear offset of at least 7 cm also helps maintain the space required for the equipment to operate correctly.
Made from 100% powder-coated aluminium, the cover is designed to withstand outdoor conditions and everyday impacts. It therefore provides an additional barrier against weather, splashes and accidental contact to which outdoor units may be exposed.
This is why all our DECOClim aluminium models come with a 10-year warranty.
White (RAL 9010) to reduce the visual impact of an XXL installation
Two XXL covers positioned side by side inevitably take up a significant amount of width. On a white or light-coloured façade, White (RAL 9010) helps reduce this visual impact by echoing the building, window frames or other light-coloured features of the home.
The aim is twofold: to protect the equipment while preventing this technical installation from becoming the focal point of the terrace or garden. The regular louvered design helps turn the two outdoor units into a more consistent and easier-to-integrate overall feature.
If the installation remains visible from several angles, you can add a White XXL aluminium back panel to each cover, meaning 2 back panels are required in total to maintain a consistent finish behind the equipment as well.
Reducing noise disturbance around the installation
When two outdoor units operate close to a terrace, garden or other living area, noise can also become a comfort issue. DECOClim louvered slats help redirect part of the sound towards the ground, making it possible to reduce perceived sound propagation by 10 to 30%, depending on the configuration and surrounding environment.
This is a particularly useful benefit when two units are installed side by side: the cover then addresses more than just aesthetic or protection needs, helping to make the units less noticeable in everyday life.
