How to install a DECOCLIM?

1. Choose the right size for your air conditioning cover

Before any installation, choosing the right DECOCLIM size is essential.
A well-fitted air conditioning cover - heat pump cover = a unit that breathes properly and operates optimally.

To determine the ideal size:

  • Measure the width, height and depth of your outdoor unit (including cables, pipes and feet if present).
  • Enter these measurements (in cm) into our online simulator: it will immediately indicate the most suitable model.

Tip: the front face of the cover should be placed as close as possible to the outdoor unit, to preserve airflow and guarantee the performance of your installation.

2. Quick assembly in less than 5 minutes

Assembling your DECOCLIM is (almost) child's play.
Thanks to its clip system, complete assembly takes less than 5 minutes.

For added security, we recommend screwing the top plate to the side panels: this additional fixing reinforces stability in case of strong wind.

Once assembly is complete, you can proceed to installation, which differs according to two scenarios: ground placement or wall mounting.

Find all our assembly tutorials on our dedicated page.

3. The two possible configurations

Case #1 – Ground installation against a wall or suspended

In this case, your DECOCLIM must be fixed directly to the wall.

  • Four pre-cut notches are provided in the strips, for simple installation "like a picture frame".
  • Transfer the distance between the keyholes, drill, then insert suitable plugs and screws.
  • Important: fixings are not supplied. Choose screws and plugs suitable for the nature of your wall (concrete, brick, wood, concrete block...).

Tip: if your outdoor unit is at height, there's no need to carry the cover to transfer the measurements. Use a cardboard corner as a template: practical on a ladder and ideal for keeping your level within reach.

Case #2 – Ground installation, with no wall at the back

If your outdoor unit is isolated and not backed against a wall, your DECOCLIM can be fixed directly to the ground.

  • Pre-drilled holes at the bottom allow for screw insertion.
  • In windy areas, we advise adding an additional fixing, for example by attaching the DECOCLIM to the compressor using plastic straps or metal cables.

4. Tips for a successful installation

To guarantee simple, safe and durable installation of your air conditioning cover / heat pump cover, keep these best practices in mind:

  • Check your dimensions with the simulator before any purchase.
  • Position the front face as close as possible to the outdoor unit.
  • Choose suitable fixings for your support (wall or ground).
  • In case of strong winds, secure your installation with an additional attachment.

You're now ready to enjoy a beautified and protected exterior, without compromising your unit's performance!
