A kit to adjust the depth of your AC cover
Not all air conditioning or heat pump installations have the same constraints. Some outdoor units are deeper, some connections take up more space, and certain walls or supports require additional clearance to be kept at the rear. The depth kit for AC cover therefore allows you to add 10 cm of depth to your wooden DECOClim.
This solution is useful when the height and width of the AC cover are suitable, but the depth is slightly insufficient. Rather than choosing a larger size just to gain a few centimetres, the kit allows you to keep a standard model while adjusting it to the real configuration of the installation. It therefore provides a simple answer when the need mainly concerns the clearance at the rear of the cover.
Wooden feet to raise the AC cover
The kit can also be used as feet for AC cover. This option allows the cover to be raised when the installation requires it, for example if the ground is not perfectly suitable, if the outdoor unit is slightly raised, or if you want to better align the cover with the unit it is designed to conceal.
Raising the cover can also help its visual integration in certain outdoor layouts. By adding wooden feet, the AC cover maintains a more consistent position in relation to the outdoor unit, without creating an overly visible offset. The aim remains to keep the installation neat, stable and well proportioned.
A practical alternative to custom-made solutions
The depth/feet kit can avoid moving too quickly to a custom-made solution. In many cases, the standard dimensions of the AC cover are almost perfect, but one detail creates an issue: a few missing centimetres of depth, a need to raise the cover, or a slightly different installation configuration.
This accessory then allows the existing product to be adapted without designing a specific cover. It is a simpler, faster and more cost-effective solution when a limited adjustment is sufficient. The customer therefore keeps a standard cover with a compatible accessory, instead of bearing the higher costs and longer lead times associated with a specific custom-made product.
How do you know if this kit is necessary?
Before ordering a depth/feet kit, you need to check the actual dimensions of the outdoor unit and its installation. The depth must include the unit, connections, supports and any element protruding towards the wall. If the chosen cover is only short by a few centimetres in depth, the kit may be a relevant solution.
You should also assess the installation height. If the outdoor unit is already raised or installed on supports, adding feet can help adjust the cover to the correct position. However, if the difference mainly concerns the width or height of the unit, it is better to choose a suitable AC cover size. The kit mainly meets depth adjustment or raising needs.
