A question about this product?
How should DECOCLIM be installed correctly?
To ensure optimal performance, the front panel of DECOCLIM must be positioned as close as possible to the fan of the outdoor unit. This configuration allows proper air discharge and prevents any air recirculation.
DECOCLIM can be installed on the ground or wall-mounted, but wall mounting remains the simplest and most practical solution. It allows easy, tool-free access to the outdoor unit for maintenance operations.
Fixing is carried out using a keyhole mounting system: simply leave the screw heads slightly protruding from the wall, then hang DECOCLIM like a picture frame.
When the outdoor unit is not installed against a wall, ground installation is possible. In this case, the holes originally designed for the bottom panel (located at the base of the side panels) should be used.
Does DECOCLIM help reduce noise?
Yes. DECOCLIM louvres are designed to respect airflow while reducing the propagation of noise generated by the fan. An average noise reduction of 10 to 30% can be observed.
Acoustic performance depends on several factors, including operating power, the immediate environment and surrounding materials. In particular, sound is redirected towards the ground and may be amplified by hard surfaces such as tiles or concrete, as opposed to more absorbent surfaces like gravel, soil or grass.
Finally, the best acoustic performance is achieved with a DECOCLIM wooden cache clim, which is more sound-absorbing than an aluminium model.
